My Shadow
Today my class went down to the tiger turf to create shadows. I made a butterfly picture. Did you know at night you can make beautiful shadows! Everywhere you go your shadow follows you. Allison created a picture shadow that looked like a crown. That day was sensational. By Samantha

The New Chickens On Monday we got three new chickens.

Wow! What an exciting day today! Today we got to eat breakfast at school! But ... we needed to bring our own breakfast that we normally have at home. I put the cereal in a little plastic bag and the bowl and the spoon in a bigger plastic bag. When I was on the way to school I thought the room was going to be messy but when I came to the class it looked tidy and beautiful and had cloths and flowers on the table. The tables were also moved. Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! Amazing! A new egg has cracked. The chick was so charming. I would like to touch it. The chick's fluffy fur reminded me of my dog. The baby chick looked so soft. The mother hen was protecting the baby chick. The baby chick was really light yellow. The really cool part was watching the chick eat. It was like this peck peck peck. Special Surprise Cluck! Cluck! Guess what on Monday 4a and 4b went outside our class to see the first chick. It hatched on Friday, the 7th of March. It was so cute and cuddly. Also the chick was eating chick food and the chick was by its mother because the chick can be safe and warm. Also she is too little to go out all by herself. The Special Visitor
Surprise! Surprise! Tiday we had a mouse and its name is Penguin. He is adorable. He has the tiniest ears in the world. His house looked cool. He has a long tail. He was tiny. I think if I held him he would be so soft and you would have to be careful when you hold him. The mouse was cute.

Fresh Yummy Coconut
I drank coconut water and I looked at inside. Mrs Govender broke the coconut and Mrs smith got out the white fruit. The fruit is very yummy.

Today we tasted a coconut. It was disgusting. Mrs Govender smashed it open. The coconut exploded. We did it outside. The whole class got to taste some. Mrs Smith got the coconut and got the fruit for us. I wish that we get to do it again.

The Violin
Today Fabiana brought a violin and she played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She has chalk that makes it glide smoothly. She goes to music school and it takes half an hour. She hired the violin. Fabiana had only two lessons. I like the music because it sounded good.

Fabiana brought her violin to school. She played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She has special chalk that she rubs against the bow to make it glide smoothly on the strings of the violin. Fabiana has a cushion. She puts the cushion on the violin so it doesn't hurt her neck. Fabiana goes to music lessons for half an hour. Fabiana is amazing at playing the piano.

Our new chickens arrived on Monday.

Today I went to see the chickens. We saw silkies. We got them on Monday. They have too much of feathers, they need a haircut. Now the silkies are in the chickens cage and they aren't fighting. One is trying to find some food. I was happy because I went to see the chickens.

One day we got some new chickens at our school, They're so cute, fluffy, soft and feathery. The other chickens will only hatch on 6 March. The other two chickens went to the other hen's house and they are quite happy. There is one hen sitting on eggs. They're called silkies.
